Di solito mi commissionano cose di altro genere , ma a volte , come qui , cose eroiche ; tecnicamente , CONAN non é un super eroe ,ma anche dopo aver visto il film e letto i romanzi di Howard ( che lo hanno originato ben prima ) tendo a considerarlo principalmente come fumetto ... il committente mi aveva semplicemente richiesto "Conan affronta la morte" ; x non farmi mancare niente ho messo le 3 versioni della morte che + mi sono rimaste impresse ; cioè la sorella di Sandman, la Morte che porta alla rovina Thanos il Dio pazzo delle storie di Jim Starlin , e naturalmente Lady Death quella di Evil Ernie ; ho aggiunto un pò di scheletri guerrieri stile Ray Harryhausen ... mh , forse mi sono fatto prendere la mano , ma a questo committente in particolare piacciono le cose molto dettagliate ...
Usually I get commissions to draw a different kind of things , but at times , like here , I'm asked to draw something heroic ; technically , Conan is not a superhero , but even after seeing the movie , and reading Howard's novels ( which originated the character far before ) , Conan to me is mostly a comic book hero ...the customer's request simply was "have Conan facing death"; to avoid any mistake I threw in three versions of death as a comic : Sandman's sister ,the Death who brings misery in Thanos' life (in jim starlin's stories ) , and of course Pulido's Lady Death ; I also added a few Ray Harryhausen-style skeleton warriors ... Mh , perhapsI went too far, but this customer really likes his pieces to be very detailed ...
